We booked the Private tour by luxury car and visited San Gimignano, Sienna and then went to a small vineyard for a private tour, tasting menu lunch and then back to Florence. Andrea was our driver and he was amazing. He really made the tour special with his wonderful personality, information about what we were seeing, where to go, and punctuality. This is the only way to see the Tuscany countryside. The weather was gorgeous and the vineyard was amazing. The food was delicious and we ordered a case of wine to be shipped back to America. My husband and I went on our honeymoon but it would be great for a couples group as well.

We start from your pick-up point at 07:45 am and then drive for 1 hour and 10 minutes to reach the city of San Gimignano.
At 09:15 am, we are ready to visit San Gimignano, a beautiful walled city. San Gimignano is a town that is oozing with history and charm. It’s well-known for its delicious ice cream and impressive stone towers. These towers were built during medieval times and served as a form of defense. Of the 72 towers that once stood, 14 remain today – a testament to their strength and durability. In 1990, the town’s center was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Forget about all of your worries for a moment and savor a delicious ice cream when visiting San Gimignano. This city is known for having some of the best ice creams in Italy, so you’ll be sure to enjoy your sweet treat. Let the creamy goodness Melt in your mouth and transport you to a world of pure bliss.
At 10.15 am we’ll begin our journey to reach Siena. The drive will take about 45 minutes. With its harmonious medieval architecture and idyllic backdrop of arable fields and rolling hills, it’s no wonder that Siena has been able to maintain its unique charm for centuries. When you visit Siena, you feel as though you are stepping back in time to a place where the only thing that matters is the present moment. Siena is a city rich in art and history, with many treasures to be found both in its museums and on its streets. Piazza del Campo is one of the most famous and beautiful squares in Italy, and every year it plays host to the Palio delle Contrade, a spectacular horse race that is not to be missed.
We bet that you’re starving after all that exploring. It’s 1.20 pm and it’s time to have some homemade pasta for lunch, accompanied by different wines and side dishes. Many locals buy their wines from the winery we are going to visit because of its delicious flavors. You will have the opportunity to sample some of their best wines while enjoying a breathtaking view of the Tuscan countryside. Tuscan wines are not only of excellent quality, but the experience of visiting the cellars, vineyards, and production facilities is an education in and of itself. You will learn how to tell the quality of a wine, as well as secrets for choosing the right wine to enhance your meal. In addition to enjoying some homemade pasta, a variety of local meats, cheeses, and bread, you will also have the opportunity to taste extra virgin olive oil and other Tuscan specialties.
At 3:30 pm, we’ll drive for 20 minutes towards Greve in Chianti. Visitors to Greve can’t help but feel transported to another time as they explore the picturesque square and learn about its fascinating history. It’s hard to believe that this space has been a central part of the town for centuries, and it’s even more amazing to think about all the people who have passed through it over the years. With its miles of Chianti Classico vineyards and renowned butchers, Greve offers a feast for the senses. Every turn in the road reveals a new breathtaking vista, making it the perfect place to snap some photos.
We will be heading towards Florence at around 4:20 pm and arriving there at approximately 5:00 pm but before we take you to your accommodations, we’ll make a special stop: Piazzale Michelangelo, a stunning panoramic view spot in Florence. From this elevated terrace, you can see all of Florence’s top attractions without any of the city’s traffic. This is a must-see spot for tourists and locals alike who want to take in the beauty of Florence. From here, you can really appreciate all that the city has to offer. This was a great way to see 3 charming towns/cities outside of Florence. Luca, our driver, was very helpful and an excellent driver. We way preferred being in a comfortable van that can drive right into the cities, rather than a giant tour bus or renting a car. Luca recommended an excellent place for us to eat lunch in Siena. And ending the day with the wine tour was just brilliant. We loved every minute of it and highly recommend this company and tour. They were very professional and communication was outstanding.

We had such a great day with Leonardo! He took us to a spot overlooking Florence and we got such wonderful photos of the city. On to Tuscany. SAN Gimignano and the very best gelato. It rained on us in Siena, but still a terrific town to see. Had lunch there. Finished the day at a winery whose name I cannot remember. Such a great day! I would highly recommend I Just Drive (Now Truescany)
