We had a very memorable, full day of museum visits and the balsamic vinegar process tour and tasting. Our driver was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The car was very comfortable and the ride was relaxing. We had plenty of time for each of the museum and tour sites included. The balsamic vinegar tour/tasting was unexpectedly interesting and memorable. In addition to the tour and museums we were able to see a part of the Italian countryside that we would not have otherwise experienced.

Your private driver will arrive at your accommodation to pick you up at 07:45 am and then drive for 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the first pit stop on the tour.

Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes

At 9:15 am we start the Ducati Factory tour, located in Bologna city. The Ducati Museum is a place where you can learn about the history of the company and see how Ducati bikes are made. Your guide will take you through the different departments, from where the timing systems and crankshafts are prepared, to the engine assembly area, to the vehicle assembly lines and up to the testing and shipping area. You will see how each stage of production is completed and how the final product is checked before it is shipped out.

Duration: 1 hour

We will begin our drive to the Ferrari Museum in Maranello at 10:30 am. The drive will take approximately 40 minutes. The Ferrari Museums offer visitors a chance to engage with the history of the Cavallino. A must-stop for any diehard fan of the world-famous car company. Every year, over 200,000 people from all corners of the globe make the pilgrimage to this mecca of all things Ferrari. And it’s easy to see why – the museum is constantly being updated with new exhibits and themes, so there’s always something new to see. Plus, for those who want to get behind the wheel of a legend, there’s always a Ferrari available for a test drive (though that experience does come at an extra cost).

Duration: 1 hour 25 minutes

At 12:20 pm we will be ready to reach the culinary stage of the day. The journey will take approximately 20 minutes. Take a break from cars and motorcycles, and enjoy some traditional balsamic vinegar. At 12:50 pm we will visit one of the oldest family owned factories that produce the famed Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. Balsamic vinegar is one of those unique products with a rich history that spans centuries. And what better place to learn about it and experience it than in Modena, Italy – considered the birthplace of balsamic vinegar. In Modena, they are very proud of their signature delicacy and are eager to share it with visitors from all over the world. Learning about the process of making balsamic vinegar – from the vineyard to the table – is a truly special experience. Sit back with a glass of wine, have some typical snacks, and recharge yourself before our last stop.

Duration: 1 hour 25 minutes

At 2:30 pm we will be able to reach the last stop of the day with a 35-minute journey: the Lamborghini Museum. The fascinating history, iconic models and tours of the production lines inside the Automobili Lamborghini Museum reveal 60 years of innovation that are projecting Lamborghini into the future. From the first visionary creations of the genius of Ferruccio Lamborghini, such as the Miura and the Countach, followed by the more recent and exclusive super sports cars to arrive today with the first Lamborghinis with hybrid technology. The Museum offers an interactive experience, also provided by the new driving simulator that amplifies the emotions and discovery of the vehicles on display.

Duration: 1 hour 25 minutes

I wanted to surprise my Dad with a trip to the Ferrari factory to drive a Ferrari so I asked Hotel Davanzati to help me plan and organize it. Everyone was amazing at keeping the secret – all telling us to enjoy our trip out to the museum and never mentioning the cars. My Dad had no idea what we were doing for the day! And when I forgot my drivers license back at the hotel (yep – nothing like going to drive Ferrari’s and forgetting your drivers license – not my brightest moment) Leonardo and the folks back at the hotel did everything they could to get my license info to the Ferrari place so I could drive. They really went over and above to make this happen for me. The car was fantastic – equipped with WIFI, iPads, and water. It was a really comfortable and relaxing way to travel around. I Just Drive & Hotel Davanzati really helped make this trip special … Four months later we’re still talking about them.

We went to two excursions: Ferrari and Lamborghini museums, Modena (for the balsamic vinegar), and another one to Pisa, Lucca and beautiful winery. The weather wasn’t accommodation (it rained seriously), but what fun we had! Tommaso and Luca made it special for us, we felt as super VIPs all the time. Our 11 year old son got special attention and he is going to remember this trip. We definitely returning to Toscana thanks to Tommaso. See their website, it’s all true and better in person! Nelly, Jeff and Michael.
