The whole tour was great. We had an amazing driver that answered all of our questions about any of the sights we saw. We liked that we were able to be dropped off to explore on our own and picked up to go to the next location. The end was great. The Chianti wine tasting was amazing. We booked this last min and were so happy and glad we did. Cosimo, our driver and tour guide, was so nice and accommodating!

We will be departing at 9:00 am from your pick-up point in Florence and heading towards Lucca. The journey should take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
The first stop on your tour of Tuscany will be the city of Lucca at 10:15 am. Lucca is full of history, culture, and fine architecture. You will really enjoy your free time to visit this Tuscan city. You’ll be able to explore some of its most amazing and historical sites: historic walls built between the mid-1600s and early 1800s, Piazza dell’Antifeatro, Torre Guinigi, Duomo di San Martino, and a picturesque street of antique dealers are only some of the places you’ll get to see. Torre Guinigi is one of the most interesting sites, as it dates back to the 1300s when wealthy families would build bell towers as a sign of their status. Today, it’s one of the only remaining towers within Lucca’s walls and is known for the tall trees that grow on top of it. These trees are actually holm oaks, which symbolize rebirth and renewal. The Guinigi family donated the tower to the local government, and if you wish to climb to the top, there is a ticket you can purchase on site.
After a 20 minutes journey you will be ready to visit Pisa, where you’ll have free time to explore some of the city’s most iconic landmarks. The Leaning Tower is a must-see, and you can walk around the Piazza dei Miracoli to see the Baptistery and the Duomo. Piazza dei Cavalieri is also worth a visit, home as it is to the historic university Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa. The tour will reach the Pisa tower at around 4:30 am, but it is usually enough to simply admire it from the outside – it is truly beautiful. However, if you want to reserve your own tickets to climb it, you can do so by choosing 4:45 pm as your time slot.
Please note that entrance tickets to the Leaning Tower are not included.
If you would like to purchase a ticket for the tower of Pisa in advance, please visit this website https://www.opapisa.it/en/tickets/buy/
The last stop on the tour will be dedicated to Tuscany’s world-famous food and wine. We’ll pull up to a wine estate, where at 3:00 pm you’ll take a tour of the property and learn all about the rich history of Tuscan wine-making. Of course, you’ll get to sample a selection of delicious Chianti red wines with the help of a knowledgeable sommelier. And you can’t leave Tuscany without trying some authentic extra virgin olive oil! All of this will be accompanied by delicious Tuscan snacks like olives and cured meats. By the end of the tour, you’ll feel like part of the family!
It’s time to get you back to Florence at 5:00 pm, just in time for dinner or an aperitivo. The city is bursting with life and energy, and you’ll be able to soak up all of its beauty and charm. You’ll feel like you’re truly alive again, surrounded by the vibrant colors, tastes, and sounds of Florence.

We had a wonderful day trip to Lucca, Pisa, and a wine estate with Daniel. The meeting place was easy to find and the staff in the hotel was welcoming and friendly. Daniel arrived on time with a cheerful greeting. The van was clean and stocked with water and some prosecco! Daniel's outgoing personality was a plus, making the hour-long drive from Florence to Lucca enjoyable. The iPads provided for sightseeing in Lucca were very helpful in finding our way around the city and the recommendations were spot on. Our time in Pisa was short, but we didn't really need more than 50 minutes to see the sights. The trip to the wine estate for a tour and tasting was a nice way to finish the day. It's a great way to get out of crowded Florence for the day and not have to worry about navigating the roads or catching a bus. Highly recommended.

This was a great tour to experience 3 different spots. Bike riding around the Lucca wall was a particular favorite of the group, you can finish this ride in half an hour and great views of the entire city. The wine was excellent and it was nice learning about the wine making process, as well as the details behind tasting. Our driver Luca was open to any questions we had and made for a fund drive! Would definitely recommend this tour.

We would give this tour 10 stars if we could! What an amazing day. As it turned out, the others that had booked this tour canceled and we lucked out and had a private tour! Daniel, our driver and tour guide, was outstanding. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Since we were the only people on the tour, he was able to add a couple of extra photo opportunity stops along the way. When we arrived in Lucca, we were given an iPad to use with Google Maps already loaded with suggested places to see and eat. We wandered around this lovely Italian town and through their market place, stopped for espresso and cappuccino along the way and Daniel met us back at the designated spot right on time. Then we headed to Pisa to see the Tower - we opted not to climb it as we weren't sure our knees could take it, but did take the gratuitous pictures of us holding up the tower so it doesn't fall. Then off to a lovely winery where we were given a tour and tasted three lovely wines and the most delicious olive oil I have ever had. This was, by far, the best tour that we have taken while on any vacation - largely due to Daniel. To top it off the day was beautiful - 60 degrees F in January and Sunny - unheard of! The drive through Tuscany and the Chianti region was beautiful and the sites were awe inspiring. When we revisit Florence, we will definitely look up Daniel and the I Just Drive staff! Thank you again for an amazing day!

Luca was a great tour guide with a nice car. We were only 3. Pisa and Lucca were so beautiful, so glad that we went. The wine tour and tasting was very thorough and we learned so much. The wine and olive oil tasting was delicious! We had a great day. If you go, don't miss walking the walls of Lucca...the scenery is so memorable. We also had time to tour the Campo Santo in Pisa. Highly recommend!
