This is the 3rd time I've used the services of I Just Drive. They are the best! Our first tour 2 years ago was with Fabrizio, last year I arranged a tour as a wedding gift for my niece and Luca was the driver, and last week Leonardo drove my family from Florence to Montalcino. Every driver has been wonderful - professional, friendly, informative and passionate about their country and culture. Their vehicles are great, with wifi and ipads for your use. Upon arrival in Montalcino we were even given a bottle of prosecco to enjoy. I highly recommend I Just Drive, and would also recommend the Hotel Davanzati in Florence, which is run by the same family. We stayed there on this trip, and it was terrific!

We start from your pick-up point at 09:00 am and then drive for 1 hour and 25 minutes to reach the first stop on the tour.
At 10:30 am, you will be ready to start your visit to Montepulciano. If we would have to choose a place representing the essence of Tuscany, that place would be Montepulciano. This Medieval town in Southern Tuscany is an important agricultural center, famous for its Vino Nobile. Once there you’ll be able to enjoy some amazing panoramic views. Walk around through the narrow streets, enjoy the views, and really experience Italy’s rich history. A maze of roads, bordered by Medieval architectures, that unexpectedly lead to a piazza with the church and townhouse; wine shops with bottles artfully lined on the shelves and restaurants spreading the smell of roasted meat all around: this is Montepulciano.
At 12:00 pm get ready for a taste of Tuscany you’ll never forget. At the organic cheese farm, you’ll see how the famous pecorino cheese is made. The view from the farmhouse is one of the most spectacular sights you’ll ever see. You can’t help but feel like you’re in another world when you gaze out over our fields and breathe in the fresh Tuscan air. After you’ve learned all about pecorino cheese, it’s time to enjoy it while it’s hot off the presses! You’ll head inside to lunch on a spread made entirely from ingredients sourced right here. We promise that this will be a meal to remember!
It’s 03:00 pm and it’s time to visit a winery that owns a collection of the oldest bottles of Brunello. The oldest ones date back to 1888, and they keep aging in the cellars. It’s amazing to think about how many years these bottles have been around, and how they’ve managed to stay in such good condition. No other winery has been producing this famous red wine as long as them. You’ll learn more about wine and have a chance to relax while you savor Tuscany’s goods.
At 4:20 pm you’ll start your visit to the village where Brunello was born. If you love history, you’ll adore this Tuscan village. Montalcino is home to the world-famous Brunello wine. But it’s not just the birthplace of this amazing beverage – it’s also a classic fairytale hilltop town. Visit its fortress built in 1361, the clock tower at the Palazzo dei Priori or one of its museums. You’ll be charmed by its old-world beauty.
At 5:10 pm, we’ll be heading back to Florence. The journey will take approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes so that you will be back in Florence by 7:00 pm.
As part of our commitment to providing a stress-free and comfortable experience for our guests, we offer pick-up at your location within the downtown area of Florence for our private tours. We used I Just Drive for two transfers (from Milan and then to Santa Margherita) and two wine tasting tours (Chianti and Montalcino). The experience was top notch, the vehicles are comfortable and the driver/guides are knowledgeable and experienced. Luca picked us up for our Milan transfer and arrived exactly on time and the transfer itself was smooth. He also took us to Montalcino, and helped to make our day pleasant and made some changes to the itinerary based on our preference. He's newer to the company, and is a good addition! Fabrizio drove us to our Chianti tasting and Santa Margherita and is always fun, friendly and professional. We always recommend I Just Drive to friends traveling in Italy, they understand and deliver good service every time!

On April 26th and the 27th my wife and I, along with my two friends, took two private excursions of the Tuscany region with I Just Drive. For our driver we had Luca who was beyond exceptional. He is very personable, knowledgeable and extremely interesting. He is also very helpful with suggestions and guidance on what to see and expect. We had so much fun together touring Tuscany. If you are lucky enough to get him as your driver you are in for a real treat, one that will make your vacation a memorable one. On the 26th Luca took us on our first private excursion to the castle towns of Montalcino and Montepulciano as well as a visit to a great winery for a tasting. It was so much fun! We also had lunch at an organic farm which was great. Although the weather started out cool and a bit rainy, the clouds cleared and the afternoon turned out sunny. While we were in Montepulciano we asked to visit the Cantina Gattavecchi winery store during the rainy spell, the results could not have been better! The store is famous and it has some of the best Nobile wines we have ever tasted. Also, the prices were fantastic. The owners of that store were some of the nicest people I have ever met in Italy. They literally gave us a seven bottle free wine tasting with some meat and cheese. After that we visited some of the other towns in the area and had a very nice wine tasting at the winery near Montalcino. Needless to say we shipped a lot of wine home that day.
