With so many options available, you can have a little bit of everything. We will leave Tuscany and Florence behind to visit the neighboring Emilia-Romagna. This region is known throughout Italy as the place of high quality food.
We took a family of 6 on a parmesan cheese, parma ham, and balsamic vinegar tour. The driver was on time and was very friendly and professional. All the tours were wonderful, including the lunch we had at the balsamic vineyard. Highly recommended!

We start from the pick up point at 06:00 am and then drive for 2 hours and 40 minutes to reach the Parmigiano Reggiano producer.
We are here at 9:00 am. Want to know how the world’s most famous cheese is made? We’re going to show you. We’ll take you to Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region, where you’ll learn how Parmigiano Reggiano—the most widely recognized and highly-sought after cheese in the world—is produced. We’ll also show you what makes it so special, and give you a chance to taste some of this delicacy for yourself!
10:15 am – We’re ready to visit a traditional Parma Ham factory! Prosciutto is a dry-cured ham, which means that it’s been preserved by salt and other ingredients for several months. Prosciutto di Parma DOP is the best prosciutto in the world, and even Italians from other regions will tell you so.
12:15 pm – If you’ve ever had the chance to try authentic balsamic vinegar from Modena, then you know that it’s a world of difference from every other balsamic vinegar. The flavor is rich and complex, and it pairs well with so many different dishes. Come taste some of the best balsamic vinegar you’ve ever had, and learn all about how they produce such a delicious seasoning! You will enjoy a light lunch of traditional Italian cuisine here.
We’ll drive back for 2 hours to reach the initial pick up point at 5:00 pm. We’ll make sure to hit all the key spots, and as a bonus, we’ll take you to the most panoramic and romantic place in Florence right before we head back to the initial meeting point: Piazzale Michelangelo. From this elevated terrace, you can see all of Florence’s top attractions without any of the city’s traffic. This is a must-see spot for tourists and locals alike who want to take in the beauty of Florence. From here, you can really appreciate all that the city has to offer. The large square is home to a replica of Michelangelo’s David in bronze.
